Chartered Investment Analyst candidates planning to prepare for the CAIA exam should become familiar with the official information provided by the Chartered Investment Analyst Association. The CAIA Charter Exam Curriculum is periodically updated by the CAIA Association and Examiners in order to reflect the up-to-date content including but not limited to those pertinent to industry trends, regulatory procedures, market data, practical knowledge.
An emphasis on the academic basis such as quantitative models and conceptual foundations shall constitute a significant portion of candidates' CAIA test preparation. The entire curriculum for the CAIA Exam to be reviewed is split into two levels, Level I and Level II, which are tested separately. Candidates preparing for CAIA Level I Exam can continue to review for CAIA Level II Exam upon successful completion of the course and passing the board examination with a satisfactory score.
Preparation for CAIA Level I exam closely follows the topic distribution in prioritization of the review course and tutoring content. Instructors author the review content based on the students' general level of preparedness for the CAIA exam, which can be determined with an initial diagnostic exam.
